University Sprinklers is a member of the Irrigation Industry Association of B.C. and has numerous accreditations from both the IIABC and the Irrigation Association (USA). We are IIABC Irrigation Contractors (Commercial & Residential). We also belong to the BC Landscape and Nursery Association. We also recently earned Certified Irrigation Contractor designation for the Irrigation Association in Falls Church, Virginia, the world's largest and most respected association within our industry. This paved the way for David Pfortmueller, our VP of Commercial and Residential Sales, to earn the coveted Environmental Protection Agency WaterSense Partner designation. Launched in 2006, WaterSense is a U.S. Environmental Protection Agency program that promotes water-efficient products, programs and practices to protect future water supplies. Their policies and goals align very tightly with our own. Our staff members are highly trained, and their credentials show it: Certified Commercial Irrigation Designers, Certified Residential Irrigation Designers, Certified Irrigation Schedulers, Certified Irrigation Technicians, Certified Irrigation Auditors and Certified Agricultural Trickle Designers. Staff training is one of the most important parts of University Sprinklers’ success. Learn about how we can work with you to provide your site with a Certified Design. Besides the numerous IIABC and IA accreditations, we have bonded electricians, and our staff members also hold Certified Cross Connection Control tickets and a Class RC Low Voltage Electrical ticket. We are also proud to announce that University Sprinkler Systems has recently been awarded Accredited Rain Water Harvester distinction by the American Rainwater Catchment Systems Association, as conservation-minded water-wise technologies are very important to us. This is in addition to our membership with CANARM, the Canadian Association for Rainwater Management. Certified Irrigation DesignerThe Certified Irrigation Designer Program is available
to members of the IIABC. An experienced irrigation designer must pass a
written examination to be recognized as having achieved a level of
competence. A Certified Irrigation Designer is acknowledged with a
designer’s seal that can be used to certify plans and quotations. Once
certified, the designer is expected to subscribe to a code of ethics
which includes promoting water, soil, and energy conservation practices
through the development of cost effective and efficient irrigation
system designs. Certified Landscape Irrigation AuditorIn partnership with The Irrigation Association (IA), a
Landscape Irrigation Auditor certification is also available. The
Certified Landscape Irrigation Auditor is skilled at managing and
scheduling water wisely and efficiently. The auditor must determine
plant water use, soil types, and local weather data in order to develop
accurate watering schedules. Certified Irrigation Contractor ProgramClass "A" Contractor certification is available to irrigation contractors that are members of the IIABC. A contractor can achieve Class "A" contractor status upon fulfillment of prerequisites as prescribed by the Certified Contractor Board. Certified Class "A" Contractors are expected
to maintain a high ethical standard by following fair and honest
business practices. In addition they must follow IIABC standards and
guidelines promoting water, soil, and energy conservation practices
through efficient irrigation system design, installation, and
